Putting a name on jewellery turns a design into something personal. We want choosing that name, confirming the order and knowing your rights to be straightforward. These terms explain how Name My Jewellery handles its handmade and personalised products, including exchanges, faults, delivery, payments and personal information.
Our product photography and descriptions are intended to represent each item accurately. Many pieces are made by hand, however, so modest differences between the pictured design and the finished article are possible.
Products may occasionally be unavailable. If this happens, we will tell you in advance and aim to provide an alternative for you to consider, with no obligation to accept.
Some orders call for an extra conversation. We may contact you before commissioning a high-value item or a piece not ordinarily kept in stock, to confirm the specifications and help ensure it meets your requirements.
We strive to display accurate prices without hidden charges. Any extras, such as engraving or delivery postage, are shown at checkout. Payment is accepted by major credit and debit cards through our secure online payment gateway.
Should a price be shown incorrectly owing to a technical or human error, we reserve the right to cancel an item ordered at that incorrect amount. Payments made for the cancelled item will be returned via the original payment method.
Eligible purchases benefit from a 14-day exchange policy. If, within 14 days, you decide an item is not suitable, please email us to arrange an exchange. The piece must be unused and returned in its original condition and packaging.
There is a distinction between ordinary stock and a necklace, bracelet or other piece produced to your chosen specifications. We cannot exchange unwanted bespoke jewellery, engraved products or goods returned after the 14-day period. Please consider the personalisation details carefully when ordering.
These rules concern unwanted goods. Where a manufacturing fault exists, the exclusions for bespoke or engraved items do not apply. Nothing here limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
We take pride in the quality of the jewellery we supply. If the item you receive is faulty, return it within 14 days for a refund or exchange. If a fault develops in the first 30 days after purchase, contact us by email so we can arrange a refund or replacement.
Please allow up to 30 days to receive a refund for a faulty item, or up to 28 days for an exchanged replacement to arrive.
We recommend returning jewellery by Special Delivery for protection in transit. Return postage is normally payable by you unless we have delivered the wrong item or the goods are faulty.
Our separate Returns Policy offers further detail. That policy and our guarantee are additional to your statutory consumer rights and do not affect them.
The majority of items are made to order, so please allow up to 20 days from the order date for delivery. We aim to deliver 90% of orders door to door within one to two weeks after payment.
Production is not simply packing an item from a shelf. Modelling, cutting, engraving and plating can all take time, followed by shipping. Diamond-set and bespoke pieces may need longer: please allow four to six weeks for delivery.
If you need your order urgently, contact us by email with the circumstances. We may be able to help. We will email a notification when your item is received with us, and you are welcome to contact us with shipping queries.
We collect customer information in order to process purchases and provide the best possible service. We use that information lawfully, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Web Trader Code of Practice.
Your personal details are held securely on our dedicated, restricted-access server, in line with our internal security policy and the law. We do not make our databases available to other organisations, nor supply your contact details to third parties for marketing purposes.
We will not send future emails without your consent. You may refuse marketing emails or remove yourself from our marketing communications at any time. Sensitive information will not be collected without your explicit consent.
We aim to keep information accurate and up to date. Email us if you would like to check what details we hold; any inaccuracies will be corrected or deleted promptly.
Cookies or similar technology may be used to observe patterns of visitor behaviour. A cookie may be saved in your browser, and you can usually adjust browser settings to prevent this. Depending on those settings, information gathered may be capable of identifying you. Contact us if you have privacy questions.
Our online shop is hosted on our own secure dedicated server with restricted access rather than shared server space with numerous other stores. After your order process is completed, we will email confirmation immediately and include a copy of the returns policy and guarantee.
A personalised name or inscription should be checked with care. If any part of the design, terms, timescale or return arrangements is unclear, please contact us before commissioning the item or as soon as an issue comes to light.
